DIY Floral Popsicle Stick Necklace In 6 Easy Steps

Summer popsicle sticks make great Fall necklaces!

1. Gather your supplies! [ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Here is what you need: scissors, jump rings, flat nose pliers, your favorite patterned fabrics, gel medium or glue, a chain, a drill with a small drill bit, and of course 8 popsicle sticks. [ss_gap height=”30″]

2. Make your holes. [ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Using a drill with a small drill bit create a hole in two of your popsicle sticks. This is where your chain will connect.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]3. Glue your popsicle sticks to the fabric.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Start off by glueing it down on one side. Then wrap the fabric around the back and, once more, seal with glue. Trim away extra fabric.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Repeat this step with all of your popsicle sticks, including the ones with holes.

[ss_gap height=”30″]4. Arrange your popsicle sticks & glue them together.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Remember to keep the popsicle sticks with the holes on the outsides of your piece.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Apply the glue to the backside of your popsicle stick piece and cover with an extra layer of fabric. Let it dry completely before moving to the next step.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]5. Attach the jump rings.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Using your flat nose pliers open your jump rings and place one into each popsicle stick hole.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]6. Measure your chain length and attach it to the jump rings.[ss_gap height=”30″]

[ss_gap height=”30″]Once you have your desired chain length, loop the jump rings through the chain’s end links and close your jump rings with your flat nose pliers.[ss_gap height=”30″]
