July memories is quite different from June memorie

July memories is quite different from June memories. No cute restaurants and beautiful plated cuisines. No drinks or coffee pours. No intentionally shot NYC aesthetics or beautifully laid out home decor. No minimal and sleek. No simple and calm.

In July we faced one of the hardest experiences we have ever had. Labor & Delivery didn’t go as I expected. My pregnancy was so smooth and easy I thought labor & delivery would at least be quick and easier than most too! But things played out differently, after 20+ hrs in an induced labor I ended up with a c-section that my body didn’t respond kindly to. If I’m being honest the whole ordeal was quite traumatic. I find it crazy we talk about these procedures so matter of fact when there is so much more that goes on mentally and emotionally! My Lord, not only am I healing physically, but emotionally and mentally from the experience.

Fortunately, I am blessed with a supportive and loving family that made the experience more manageable and allowed me space to process. While we had an incredibly crazy, chaotic, overwhelming and painful experience we simultaneously had the most JOYOUS, WONDERFUL and AWE-invoking experience of our lives. Seeing our son come into this world was surreal. THANK YOU GOD! The minute I saw him every thing else didn’t seem to matter! I wept for joy. And when he finally was rested on me I realized I would endure it all again for him. I never thought I could love someone so deeply at first sight. Have you ever loved a stranger so deeply you’re willing to give your life for them upon meeting them?!

Baby Bugs is officially two weeks old today! And these have been the sweetest two weeks of my life! I can’t get enough of him! Am I one of those moms now? Lol

Funny story, David and I truly believed he was going to be born a big baby! He was even measuring that way, but guess not accurately enough because he was born way smaller than we expected. We didn’t even buy newborn clothes or diapers, expecting they would never fit him lol! Thankfully the hospital supplied us with diapers and @goumikids had gifted us these ADORABLE newborn fits, so he has been styling ever since he’s been home from the hospital!

POV: We met in college 15 years ago. Started dating 12 years ago. Knew we wanted to get married and have kids.

In our first year of dating we talked about children so much we even made a baby name list then. A list we still have today.

We got engaged 11 years ago. We got married 9 years ago. Two years into our marriage we decided we were ready to have kids. It didn’t go as we planned.

I was diagnosed with PCOS & Hashimoto’s Disease. We hoped for a child 7 years ago and kept hoping.

We waited 6 long years to finally see our miracle! We found out we were pregnant for the first time in Nov 2021. And everyone who prayed alongside us were equally as excited to celebrate the news.

When I started creating this reel we were only a couple of weeks away from meeting our baby bugs! But as we’ve learned plans don’t always go as you expect. After a crazy and hard labor/delivery baby bugs came a little earlier to complete our little family. July 14th! ❤️

It’s only been days with our little one but it already feels like forever and we love him so much!!! We are all happy, healthy, a little tired (really sleepy) lol but loving every moment together. Thank you God for such a blessing! Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we adjust to our new life with our baby boy! See you soon!

At first I didn’t know where or what I wanted to do for our pregnancy shoot! We almost didn’t shoot it because of all the chaos and rush to get things ready! We didn’t have the time. But this simple shoot on the beach with @williamssophia15 came out better than I imagined it would! I will treasure these shots and this day! We waited so long for God to bless us with a little one and there is no other place that reminds me of His mystery and love then when I’m at the beach staring out an ocean. Can’t wait to come back here again for baby bug’s first day at the beach!
