First Impressions of Stitch Fix

I am one of those people who love being surprised and gift giving is definitely one of my love languages, so when it comes to services like Stitch Fix, I am all about it! I was thrilled they reached out to me to review their service for free and share my thoughts with you guys. For those of you who are unfamiliar, Stitch Fix is a personal style service for men and women that evolves with your tastes, needs, and lifestyle. The way it works is, one out of their thousands of passionate Stylists from all over the U.S. learns about your style and evolving needs, in order to find the perfect pieces for you. Your Style Profile answers and continued feedback powers the engine of the Stitch Fix experience. And every curated box come with five pieces you can test out and try. You only pay for what you want to keep and you send the rest back (Note: For each scheduled Fix, a $20 styling fee will be charged right before your Stylist begins styling for you. That styling fee is credited toward anything you purchase in that shipment. )

I was nervous at first because I know that I can be very picky when it comes to style, but I was blown away by the selection my stylist picked for me. I absolutely love the look of each piece! Here are the five pieces I got, my first impressions and personal score rating:

  1. Palermo Stitch Detail Clutch – MODA LUXE

Black and Gold is my go-to combo and this clutch definitely hits my style spot! I love the details on this piece and it goes with just about everything in my wardrobe. This first item I have to give a 10/10!

2. Garret Grommet Detail Skinny Jean – YSJEANS

I love the grommet details on these jeans! They are everything! They take a simple pair of jeans and bring them up a level! And the placement of them really accentuates length, making my legs look a little longer which I personally like! To style this piece I paired it with pointed toe booties, a tank and leather jacket. This is another piece that got a 10/10 from me.

3. Janeka Asymmetric Ruffle Button Down Shirt – GOLDRAY

First off, let’s ignore the wind that’s violently handling my hair in these photos lol #bloggerlife. I loved this top when I first took it out and still LOVE the design of it, but unfortunately, it was too big for me. I definitely would need to go down a size for it to work (Stitch Fix does offer exchanges for sizes and damaged items). This item gets a 9/10 just because it wasn’t the perfect size but still a banging piece to add to the closet.

4. Abia Faux Suede Skirt – LAILA JAYDE

Usually, I stay away from pencil skirts because I’m not sure how they will fit my body and I’m not too comfortable styling them yet. But I thought I would give this one a try and I loved it! I decided to style it with a more sporty chic feel, pairing it with one of my favorite button-ups, a leather jacket, and my Adidas. I give this piece an 8/10 as it does take me outside of my comfort zone and it, honestly, may be an item I wouldn’t wear all that often.

5. Halston Quilted Velvet Bomber Jacket – VIGOSS

OMGOSH Guys! This Bomber is definitely a new FAVE! I could not get over it the minute I got it. It’s the perfect piece for this fall weather and it is quite warm too. To dress it up I paired it with this oxblood chelsea boots, a minimal striped sweater and the MODA LUXE clutch they sent. This outfit and piece is hands down my favorite from the lot and deserves more than a 10/10!

So far, I am really impressed with Stitch Fix, as I would purchase 4/5 items they sent. Other services that I have tried, that are similar to Stitch Fix, didn’t nail my style as well as Stitch Fix did. They did send me this box for free so that I could review this service and experience for you all. But all my opinions are my own. I definitely think this service is worth checking out. If you do try it out or have tried it out let me know your thoughts, leave your comments below!

Love ya Babes,

Steph
